Reviewer's Toolkit


These pages are intended to act as a reference point for reviewers. Information on the process and methodology of carrying out reviews is detailed below.

Reviewers involved in this project have ranged from practicing Paediatricians to medical students and the necessary skills and information for carrying out a review can be acquired relatively quickly.

The methodology is based upon the WHO Handbook for Guideline Development, currently in draft form. It utilizes Cochrane collaboration methodology and GRADE tables; thus applying a scientific approach to  the selection, appraisal and synthesis of relevant studies.
